Hey there guys and gals. Your friendly co-founder here with some tips and tidbits for making yourself right at home in Feature Me Weekly.

I noticed we have a lot of new members coming in, and this is so awesome. Some members however may not understand how we accept our submission. [Any admin reading this, correct me if I am wrong.]

When submitting a work you have to our folders please look at the way you submitted it and go by the first tag you are submitting it under. Okay, so you maybe confused a bit. Okay, so take this as an example. Let's say for example I would want to submit a set of icons to the group, I would look at this under the title of my work:

Customization / Icons / Miscellaneous

Now notice that Customization is the first tag on this, so I would submit this to our customization folder here in our group. One of the lovely admins here would check to make sure I had submitted this to the right folder and then they would either accept or decline the work.

Whenever I decline something for this reason, I always make sure to leave a little note stating why it was declined. If however someone else declines your work without a reason, please note the group and one of our lovely staff members will take a look and help you out.

Now we are still looking for administration to help us in the group, so please note the group if you can commit to being an administrator. [You will be making a commitment of at least 1 year...maybe more.]

Hi there guys. My name is Ash, but please call me Miss Romance. I am the newest Co-Founder to this wonderful group here. I hope that I will be of some help to you all as I just became co-founder at the beginning of May.  So I would like to address some quick things in this blog.

First thing is this. I am going to quote what our lovely founder has said about needing more admins:

We are looking for new admins.  Feel free to note me or the group if you think you can make a serious commitment. We are looking for long term admins. (who can be on board for at least a year)

Until and unless the group issues are sorted out, expect us to be in a low activity mode. That doesn't mean your submissions are not going to be accepted. We will go on accepting art, but I will filter down the number of submissions in the folders.</quote>

We are still looking for these admins to help out. I really hope that we can get a new vibrant spirit about this group in the upcoming weeks once we are out of low activity mode and we can get to featuring and contests going again.

Speaking about activity, I am also going to remind you about submissions and what to pay attention to. Again, some advice from our wonderful founder:

Please look at the folder and your art piece's first tag and submit correctly. Wrong submissions will be declined. We just can't go on explaining every declined art any more, as there is a time constraint for all of us.</quote>

Now a lot of you are following this advice. To all the new members, please take a brief moment to look over our folders before submitting any of your work. This way there is no question about what goes where in our folders.

I would love to start weekly features again, but I also would like to see a bit more activity from you all. I know life gets the best of all of us, I have college and take care of disabled family. However, when I joined this group I loved to see the features and interactivity between group members. I would love to start things up again, maybe have a contest or two myself, but there needs to be that vibrant spirit that I joined this group with again.

That is where I turn to my fellow deviants. I would love to hear from you all on what you would like to see this group do. What contests would you like to see? What other awesome things would you like to see come out of this group? Would you like this group to become super, or stay the way it is?

Please leave us any feedback here and we would love to hear from you all. We have almost 1400 members, so I would love to hear a lot of feedback.
